According to a survey by the National Association of Realtors 80% of people who bought a home in 2006 used the Internet while house hunting, and they rated photographs as the most useful tool in their search. I can personally vouch for this statement as I successfully sold my condo within four days of posting its photos on this website. There are three main advantages to having expertly staged photos of your property:
1) First impressions matter. The pictures that potential buyers see are often the first - and only - chance for a seller to make a good impression. Once a buyer has narrowed down his main criteria regarding the size and location of the property, it is the home itself that will speak to him, or not. How many buyers will skip past your property because of poor or not enough images?
2) Increase your viewings. It is a fact shared by many realtors and private sellers that having a substantial number of great photos showing off a property will generate more viewings. Bad photos fail to attract interest, whereas good photos grab people’s attention and help you sell your home.
3) Keep the property in the buyer’s mind. A website with well presented photos is like having a ‘virtual open house’ 24 hours a day. It will encourage potential buyers to revisit your listing, to share it with family and friends, and give them a place to go back to after a viewing. This is where they begin to dream about their future home.
